The Necklace - Deluxe (Max Krause)
The deluxe version provides you with TWO revelations, instead of one.
You are walking down the street, sitting in a restaurant, reading a book on a park bench, waiting for the bus, shopping at the mall, or any other various social activities. You strike up a conversation with a complete stranger. The topic turns to the necklace you are wearing and its meaning. You explain to them it is the word magic in Chinese and requires the characters on both sides to create the word as you take it off to let them look at it even more closely.
Invariably they will ask you if you do magic to which you reply, "Yes would you like to see a ?" You place the necklace back on your neck and reach into your pocket and produce a deck of cards. You have a card chosen and replaced back into the deck and you hand them the deck to shuffle. They return the deck to you and you explain that the reason you chose Chinese writing is because they are known for predicting future events citing a few examples. You then tell them that you had a premonition that you would be standing/sitting in the very spot you are with them showing them a card trick at that exact moment and ask if they believe you.
Regardless of the answer you say, "Take a look at my necklace" They do and to their utter disbelief are the words "Turn Over" where the 1st symbol was. They turn the necklace over and find their card staring at them on the back where the 2nd symbol was! Magic does not get any more memorable than this!! The quintessential icebreaker!!
